Summer vacations are all about recharging your batteries, so let us tell you where we’ve found the perfect “battery charger”! Our destination for summer vacations has almost always been the mountains. And with just a few exceptions, we’ve generally spent them in Austria and Switzerland. A few years ago and quite by chance, a prospectus drew our attention to Maria Alm. It’s located in Austria, in the SalzburgerLand. We liked it from the very first moment and have returned there over and over again. Not just because of our love for the village and the beautiful landscapes - it also had a lot to do with the hotel, the Lohningerhof. From the first moment on, we felt so at ease with Franz and a team that had been with him for years – and because it has been this way year in and year out, I’ve even gone ahead and made a separate homepage just about them.
This is our “battery charger” – this is where we take our vacations and top up our energy levels. And frankly, we can’t wait for our next vacation to begin!
