There is so much to see - convenient and inexpensive with the SalzburgerLand Card. Proud castles, palaces and museums invite visitors to take a journey through time, both back into the past and forward into the future.
Historic mines entice us into a subterranean world, in search of salt, for example, that “White Gold” which gave this part of the world its name (“Salz” = salt).
Salzburg Harvest Festival – real and authentic
When Salzburg’s farmers bring in their harvest and the fresh produce matures into smoked meats, potted herbal cheese or a fruity schnapps, we know that a very special time of year has begun in the SalzburgerLand.
"Let’s head out to Harvest Festival" – a phrase we hear across the land as Salzburg’s innkeepers, farmers, heritage societies and artisans present themselves to the world with their traditions, mouthwatering delicacies and a cool glass of Salzburg Harvest Festival beer.
Salzburg Festival
Probably the most famous cultural event in the SalzburgerLand is the Salzburg Festival, held from mid July until the end of August. The selection of cultural highlights at the Salzburg Festival is broad, compelling and exciting.
Every year the program of the Salzburg Festival features approximately 180 events, including operas, concerts, as well as evenings of theater and literary readings.
